Walter Henry Tanser was born in b. 1868, Bonehill, Staffordshire, in 1868.  He married Hannah Lees (b. c1868, d. 1908, Tamworth) in Tamworth, Staffordshire in 1888.

Hannah died in 1908 in Tamworth at the age of 40.
