Henry Tansur (also known as Harry Tanser) was born in Stretton, Derbyshire in 1866.  He married Harriet(t) Garner on 9 Jul 1892 in South Kilworth.

Henry and Harriet had the following children:

• Frederick Sidney, b. 1896, Swinford, Leicestershire
• Edith Mary, b. 1899, Swinford, Leicestershire, d. Rugby, Warwickshire
• Sybil Ruth, b. 1900, d. 1904, Swinford, Leicestershire
• Thomas William, b. 1902, Swinford, Leicestershire, d. Swinford, Leicestershire c. 1929
• Edward James, b. 1906, Swinford, Leicestershire
• Walter Charles, b. 1910, Swinford, Leicestershire, d. 1992

The family are recorded in the 1901 England Census living at No. 5 Top Street, Swinford, Leicestershire. Harry's occupation is listed as 'Gardener (Domestic)'.
 
Harry (Henry) died in 1956 and Harriet in 1962.  Henry and Harriett are buried in Swinford Cemetery.
