Edward Tansur, labourer, was born in South Kilworth in 1855. He married Mary Ann Linnett (b. South Kilworth, 1857) in South Kilworth in 1879.

They had the following children:

• Constance Maria Hannah, b. 1879 in South Kilworth
• Edith Emily, b. 1880 in South Kilworth
• Albert Edward, b. 1883 in South Kilworth
• George William, b. 1889 in Wolverhampton

In 1881 the family were living on Walcote Road, South Kilworth, Leicestershire.

Edward died in 1898 in Wolverhampton at the age of 43.
