Comfort Tansur(e), was born on 18 Jan 1812 and christened on 17 May 1812 in South Kilworth, the daughter of Walter and Ann Tansur(e) and twin sister of Rachel Tansur(e).

Comfort married Charles Basset(t), a Carpenter, on 2 Dec 1833 in South Kilworth. 

Charles Basset(t) was born on 1 Mar 1811 and christened on 5 Apr 1811 in Claybrook, Leicestershire, the son of Richard Basset (christened 17 May 1772) and Elizabeth Lawrence (married 12 Oct 1801, Claybrook).

Charles and Comfort had the following children:

  • James, christened 20 Apr 1834
  • Elizabeth, christened 5 Jun 1842 in South Kilworth
  • Charles, christened 18 Oct 1844 in South Kilworth
  • Comfort, b. 1846
  • Anne, christened 1 Jul 1849 in South Kilworth, died 25 Apr 1850
  • Edward, christened 11 Apr 1851 in South Kilworth
  • Emma, christened 8 Jan 1854 in South Kilworth, died 1 May 1855
  • Ruth, christened 7 Dec 1856 in South Kilworth

In 1881 Comfort and Charles were living on Welford Road, South Kilworth.

Comfort died in 1885 in South Kilworth and Charles later died in South Kilworth in 1891.
