Charles Tansur, Labourer, was born c1839 in South Kilworth, Leicestershire, the son of Don and Mary Tansur (née Smart).

Charles married Mary Robbins in 1859 in South Kilworth. They had the following children:

• Charles, b. 1862, d. 1866, Aston, Warwickshire
• Mary Ann, b. 1863, d. 1864, Aston, Warwickshire
• William, b. 1864, Aston, Warwickshire
• Edward, b. c1863, Aston, Warwickshire
• Mary, b. 1866, Aston, Warwickshire
• Harriet, christened 11 Aug 1867, d. 1868, South Kilworth, Leics
• Annie, b. 1869, South Kilworth, Leics, married in 1891, Aston, Warwicks

In 1881 Charles and Mary were living on Welford Road, South Kilworth with their children Edward (Labourer, aged 18) and Annie (11) and their nephew Guy Dickinson ELLSON (4).
