Ann Tanser, the daughter of Edward and Jane Tansur (née Wormer) was born in 1820 and christened on 9 Jul 1820 in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire.

Ann married Thomas Moore in Nov 1838 in South Kilworth, Leicestershire.  Thomas was the son of Timothy and Mary Moore (née True).   Thomas (a Journeyman Baker) was born in 1817 in Crick, Northamptonshire*.

Ann and Thomas had the following children:

  • Thomas, 15 Apr 1845
  • Frederic, b. 1846, South Kilworth, Leics, d. 1917, Rugby, Warwickshire
  • Ann, 1850**
  • Jane, 5 May 1852, South Kilworth, d. c1935***

* In 1881 Thomas and Ann Moore were living on Walcote Road, South Kilworth, Leics, with their Granddaughter Laura Jane Lodge (b. 1870, Rugby, Warwickshire).

** In 1881 Ann Moore (unmarried) was working as a Parlourmaid for Upshelon Pownall at the Rectory, South Kilworth, Leics.

*** In 1881, Jane Moore was working as a Cook for the Rector of Gilmorton, John Marsh Lakin and his family on Church Lane, Gilmorton, Leicestershire.
