Abel Tansur, was the youngest son of Walter and Ann Tansur,  Abel was born in 1816 and christened on 4 Feb 1816 in South Kilworth, Leicestershire.

Abel married Ann xxxx in 1839.  Ann (a Monthly Nurse) was born c1815 in Leicestershire.  Abel and Ann had the following children:

• Benjamin, b. 1842, Leicester, christened 11 Jan 1843, St George's, Leicester
• John, b. 1846, Leicester, christened 24 Jun 1849, South Kilworth, Leics
• Abel, b. 1849, South Kilworth, Leicestershire.  Occupation:  Shoe Rivetter.

Abel died in 1876 in Billesdon, Leics, and is buried in St Nicholas's churchyard, South Kilworth.

In 1881 Ann was living with her son Abel (a Shoe Rivetter) and his family at No. 7 Crane Street, Leicester.
